As a small Aussie business, each transaction is significant to us. We pour our hearts into our brand and strive to exceed your expectations.

    We understand that sometimes things don't go as planned, and a refund may be necessary. However, we kindly ask you to consider the impact of refunds on a small business like ours and take time to ask our friendly team questions about our products to ensure you are fully aware of their specifications, capabilities, and limits. We adhere to United States Consumer Law and are willing to help you at each step of your purchasing journey - reach out to us for more information. Each unfair or unnecessary refund request can significantly affect our ability to serve you and our community in the long run - so please make sure this product is right for you before purchasing.

    Fair and Reasonable Refunds

    We adhere to United States Consumer Law and guarantee that our products are:

    • Of acceptable quality
    • Match their description
    • Fit for their intended purpose
    • Safe and durable

    We have a 90-day return policy, which means you have 90 days after receiving your item to request a return. We understand mistakes happen and we are willing to support all customers through this process and ask that communication is respectful, clear and honest - and inline with our policies. 

    Please understand that as a small business, we cannot always accommodate 'change of mind' returns or refunds if they do not fit our refund policy. We encourage you to review your choices carefully before making a purchase. If you're unsure about a product, our friendly team is always here to provide more information and help guide your decision.

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, without any damage, and in its original packaging with everything that was included when the item was received. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase for all returns and all requests must be in line with the refund policy on this page. If your item is not in line with these standards, you may not receive a refund or the full refund amount [for the item(s) less administration and handling fees].

    Returns will need to be done at your own cost (i.e., posting the item back to our headquarters for inspection), please email our support and they will provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note you may be charged an administration and handling fee for returns once they have been posted to your address as this will incur shipping, administration, handling and processing fees for the business. This fee is no more than $24.99 per item. 

    Changes are subject to availability and the timing of your order (i.e., requests for changes may not be accepted if the product has already left our warehouse). Please contact us about changes for more details.

    Damages and issues
    Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Defective items must be reported to us immediately so that we can provide you with a replacement if necessary. Damages incurred by the customer as a result of usage or misuse do not come under our returns and/or warranty policies.     Please note: We test these products so you don't have to. Customers should not use this product for anything other than its primary purpose - as a basic smart watch. All products that are damaged due to any other activity other than their primary purpose will not be replaced or refunded as this is against our refund and warranty policy. The manufacturer and business technicians have the right to refuse refunds and replacements for items they deem to be misused or damaged due to improper usage. This includes actions such as diving, swimming in salt and/or chlorine water, used in steam rooms or high water temperatures that cause steam [approximately 50c], hitting, placing weight on or forcing impact onto the item with hard objects, damaging the watch due to impact [including unintended], and other actions that are not appropriate for a typical smartwatch. Again, this is to dissuade customers from intentionally damaging the product and trying to claim a refund or replacement. Items and packaging in poor and unsanitary conditions may not be accepted.

    Our refund policy aims to ensure customer satisfaction while also discouraging attempts to deliberately damage the product. The Hard Hat Watch is built to withstand tough conditions - we conduct rigorous testing to provide you with a reliable and durable smartwatch. Advertisements are true representations of the product (i.e., no false editing or camera tricks were used). However, we strongly caution - do not try and replicate advertisements at home.

    Rest assured, our goal is to deliver a product that exceeds expectations and stands the test of time, so you can trust in its quality without the need for extreme testing. In essence - we test it so you don't have to. If the return items and packaging are not in the condition in which they were received, you may be charged up to $69.90 for deep cleaning, replacement of parts, and repair fees for each item. This fee is based on a reasonable assessment of the item and packaging and will not be punitive - it is intended to discourage poor treatment of items. If items are in extremely poor condition - no refund amount may be given as this violates our refunds and returns policy. Again, we are more than happy to support genuine customers with refunds and returns and we are generally more flexible and are happy to help. 

    Our fees are clear, easy to understand and displayed on our website to inform you of your rights and our policies. Although our fees are aimed at maintaining standards for returned products, we are generally more flexible with conditions, especially for items returned in a slightly less than perfect state (so long as there are no signs of clear and obvious misuse). Please remember, we are a small business and cannot sustain unfair and unreasonable requests for refunds that may incur additional administration and monetary charges for our business. We are more than happy to comply with all fair-dinkum requests from genuine customers in line with our policies - as required by law.


    Exchanges
    The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


    European Union 14 day cooling off period
    Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


    Refunds
    Please note you may be charged an administration and handling fee for returns once they have been posted to your address. All refunds must include the original item returned to the Hard Hat headquarters. please email our support and they will provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. The administration and handling fee is no more than $24.99 per item and does not include postage for returning the product. This fee is less with un-used and unopened products (in their original plastic seal). Please email support@hardhatwatches.com to set this process up. This fee includes administration costs as well as warehouse inspection, storage and payment processing (as staff will have to inspect the items and make sure they are able to be resent to other customers), and any additional costs incurred by us. Certain exclusions apply - (e.g., damaged items including items that have been inspected by warehouse staff and clearly show misuse and damage, salt and chlorine water damages, damage due to hazardous chemicals, watches re-sent without the original packaging and charging cables, missing items, items in poor and unsanitary conditions, damaged boxes and packaging, and/or finding a similar looking product online that's cheaper will not guarantee you a refund), please email us for more information. Again, we are more than happy to support genuine requests for refunds and returns and we are generally more flexible with these conditions.

    We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If the return/refund is not approved, you have the right to request an explanation. Our team will provide reasonable explanation as to why the items were not approved. Please note, our team has the right and perogative to inspect items and reasonably assess whether misuse or damage related to improper use has occured. Our team reserves the right to make a final judgement on refunds and returns and abuse and harrassment will not be tolerated. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded through your original payment method within 10-15 business days (generally a lot sooner). Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
